Description
Virbamax First Drench:
Oral anthelmintic for the control of roundworms, tapeworms and nasal worm in sheep, lambs, goats and kids; roundworms and tapeworms in calves, and wireworm and tapeworm in ostriches.
COMPOSITION:
Abamectin 0,08 % m/v
Praziquantel 1,50 % m/v
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
- Lambs and kids older than 6 weeks of age: Administer Virbamax First Drench orally at a dose of 2,5 ml/10 kg body mass (equivalent to 0,2 mg/kg abamectin and 3,75 mg/kg praziquantel).
- Calves older than 6 weeks of age: The recommended oral dose is 2,5 ml/10 kg body mass.
- Ostriches older than 6 weeks: The recommended oral dose is 2,5 ml/8 kg body mass for the control of ostrich wireworm and tapeworm.
WARNINGS:
- Don’t slaughter sheep, calves, and goats for food within 14 days of treatment.
- No waiting period for ostrich meat.
- Don’t treat lactating sheep and goats or those 28 days before lactation if their milk is for human consumption.
- Avoid using anthelmintics with stressful management for lambs, kids, calves, and ostriches under 6 weeks old.
- Keep away from children, uninformed people, and animals.
- If the remedy fails, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Vaccinate sheep and goats against Clostridium infections, including pulpy kidney.
- Don’t dilute or mix with other substances.
- Wash hands after use.
- Avoid eye and skin contact; may cause irritation.
- Store away from food and feed.
- Don’t reuse empty containers.
- Dispose of containers and leftover contents safely to avoid harming fish and water organisms. Don’t contaminate dams, rivers, or streams.
- Abamectin binds to soil and becomes inactive over time.
- Clearly convey warnings, precautions, and directions to those administering this product to animals.
