Description
Terramycin LA is a ready-to-use, broad-spectrum and long-acting injectable antibiotic solution, registered for use in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs.
The patented formulation contains 200 mg of oxytetracycline per ml. Veterinarians use Terramycin LA to treat conditions caused by, or associated with, organisms susceptible to oxytetracycline.
Veterinarians recommend Terramycin LA when prolonged antibiotic therapy is required or when practical, economic, or animal welfare considerations make frequent handling and repeated treatments impractical.
Cattle: For the treatment of tick-borne gallsickness (anaplasmosis), heartwater, pneumonia, footrot, joint ill, navel ill and pink eye (infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis).
Swine: For the treatment of pneumonia, joint ill and navel ill.
Sheep and goats: For the treatment of heartwater, pneumonia, footrot, joint ill and navel ill.
Do not administer Terramycin LA to piglets on the same day you are injecting with iron. Use only in cattle, sheep, goats and swine as indicated. Do not consume the meat of treated animals within 28 days of the last treatment. Do not use the milk from treated cows for human consumption within 5 days of the last treatment. Failure of the remedy may be due to a wide range of reasons, however this remedy has been through many tests under a large variety of conditions. If you suspect failure of the remedy, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.
