Description
Browse Plus is a specialized formula designed as a drinking water or in feed lick additive. It enhances the animal’s digestive process and results in more nutrient utilization. It’s useful in unfavorable feeding conditions when grazing is in short supply and therefore makes unpalatable plant material more palatable.
Suitable to use for:
Browse Plus is particularly useful under dry conditions, or when grazing is poor. It is normally during these drier times that the condition of the livestock deteriorates even though there is still a substantial amount of nutrient available in the surroundings. Most of the nutrient is in the form of browse and less palatable grasses.
During dry conditions, limited grazing and depleted food resources expose cattle to several challenges. As forage becomes scarce, cattle supplement their diet by browsing on leaves. When animals ingest these leaves, certain naturally occurring chemicals interfere with digestion and cause problems such as tannin toxicity, hydrolysable tannin effects, terpene intake, and general digestive malfunction.
